Controller CNC 980+
The scope of delivery of your basic system includes the controller CNC 980+ which can drive up to five axes simultaneously. Its powerful output stages always ensure a smooth machining process.

With the Active Mold line we have developed a completely new CNC machining system on the basis of our popular Active Pro line. It is especially suitable for three-dimensionally milling large blocks. Due to an especially stable framework construction of high-tensile aluminium profiles with numerous crossbars and many stand supports, the load will be evenly spread. Thus you can load very heavy workpieces onto the Active Mold systems.
Three-dimensional milling of voluminous moulds
Depending on their condition, you can either fix the workpieces directly or the crossbars can be covered with an additional mounting surface. This may be a T-slot table on which you can mount clamping devices for fixing the workpiece, but a vacuum table would be possible, too. The open construction of the system and the little height of the workpiece support make it easy to exchange workpieces.
The Active Mold line is ideal for rapid prototyping and mould making where all kinds of voluminous objects of styrofoam, plastics, model making materials, wood or aluminium have to be produced. Your possibilities are manifold: in the design phase of a product you can produce functional or illustrative models, for the serial production you can produce casting moulds or you can also produce individually designed assembly parts.
