Description

Our universal single tooth cutter Varius® is also available with a left-hand twisted flute. So the chips won’t be transported to the top but be pressed downwards into the milled slot, although the tool is right-cutting – like all vhf tools. An advantage of the left-hand twist is that the workpiece will be pressed downwards, too.

Fields of Application

Especially when workpieces have to be milled on a vacuum table with low holding force, the danger that the workpiece may loosen accidentally due to the “cork-screw effect” will be reduced considerably. The left-hand twist also shows advantages when working on thin materials or such which tend to fray easily. However, the removal rate is reduced a little bit. This tool is good for milling aluminium, copper, zinc, brass, acrylic, plastics...
