PR 2010-03 of 21.04.2010
After the Medtec trade fair for medical technology, vhf has another premiere in 2010: Fespa, the world trade fair for digital printing, screen printing and textile printing. It takes place from June 22 to June 26 in Munich. Under the headline “Print & Cut” vhf will present different kinds of solutions for accurately milling and cutting printed boards of all common materials.
Using the exhibited CNC machining systems vhf will demonstrate how one can mill and cut exactly along the printed contours by means of an optical workpiece recognition with a CCD camera. For this purpose, register marks which are printed on the workpiece are recognized and the output graphics will be – depending on the positions of the marks – adjusted, scaled, stretched or compressed accordingly. Inaccuracies which occur during the printing process or while positioning the workpiece onto the machine will thus be compensated.
A vhf system is suitable as well for milling materials like wood, plastics or metal as for cutting softer materials and light-weight foam boards like Kapa®. So it offers – also with its standard positioning range of 2 x 3 metres – an optimal possibility for the subsequent processing of all materials which come from the large-format board printer.
