Crystal Clear Engravings:
Mirror Finish with Diamond Polishing Graver

vhf presents a new special tool – the diamond polishing graver. Its cutting edge which is made of monocrystalline diamond (MCD) makes it optimally suitable for polishing engravings and chamfers in acrylic to a high gloss.

MCD is a synthetically produced pure carbon crystal with the same characteristics like a natural diamond. The MCD cutting edge of this tool is attached to a carbide shank. It can be used for engraving and polishing inscriptions with a dipping depth of approximately 0.5 mm in one step. Up to the maximum dipping depth of 3 mm, it is necessary to engrave conventionally first and to polish in a second step. Signage systems, cut out logos or lighted acrylic signs which have been processed with this tool look especially appealing.

Moreover, the diamond polishing tool distinguishes itself by a long endurance and the possibility to regrind it multifold. The tool is available with shank diameters from 3 to 6 mm and top angles of 60 or 90 degrees. The diamond polishing tool is interesting for any sign maker or engraver who wants to extend his range.
