vhf, manufacturer of engraving and milling systems, has a new name: The company from South-West Germany now operates under "vhf camfacture AG" instead of "vhf computer GmbH". This measure has been taken to avoid misconceptions about the object of the company.
More than 15 years ago, vhf has started to develop high-quality CAD/CAM software - hence the name part "computer" - for disentangling printed circuit boards with an output driver to engraving and milling systems. In the beginning, the CAM part of the software had been developed for systems of other manufacturers. However, about ten years ago, vhf has started to develop their own engraving and milling systems with their own controller. So the old name of the company had been misleading the customers increasingly. Frank Benzinger, managing director of vhf camfacture, explains the reasons for the change of name: "With the made-up word of CAM and manufacture, we want to point out more unambiguously our main concern as manufacturer of machines."
This measure has no effect on the customers; their contact persons remain the same. In order to be able to cope with the unbroken high demand for CAM systems and carbide tools, vhf has employed new specialists in the sales area - completely in contrast to the current trend. The production area has also been extended to reduce the delivery periods again considerably. In the meantime, they had accumulated to up to three months.
