New Computer Family:
CAM Software Cenon for Apple Macintosh

Many users of Apple computers want to control their engraving and milling machines directly. After all, these computers are being very frequently used for DTP and design applications. So the rate of Macintosh users among the sign makers is also above average. For the first time, the new version 3.50 of the CAM production software Cenon allows to mill and engrave graphics, fonts or logos from the numerous design and layout programs.

The Mac operating system combines the reliability of Unix with high ease of use and thus offers ideal conditions for a stable operation of the milling and engraving system. On top of that, the high number of import formats of Cenon provide the user with full flexibility: EPS, AI, DXF, HPGL or Gerber files can be imported directly into Cenon. So Cenon becomes an ideal extension of programs like Adobe Illustrator or FreeHand. Functions for editing the imported graphics complete the range of features.

Cenon serves mainly as extended output driver for different kinds of design and layout programs, however, it can also be used as independent editing tool. The steps from the graphics to the output are very easy: the user only has to assign a tool to each job step and can start the working process subsequently. All necessary tool radius corrections will be performed automatically by Cenon. So engraving and milling becomes similarly easy like operating a cutting plotter. In addition to all vhf CAM systems, also many systems of other manufacturers can be controlled by Cenon.
