vhf Exhibition Programme at viscom Trade Fair
CNC Router with Optical Workpiece Recognition

At the viscom trade fair in Frankfurt, the company vhf from Ammerbuch near Stuttgart presents its large-scale CNC machining system CAM 2030 Active Pro. Two new system modules are introduced on this system.

Especially interesting is a module for an optical recognition of workpieces or register marks which are printed on the workpiece. The module consists of a production software and a CCD camera at the z axis. The output graphics will be – depending on the positions of the marks – independently adjusted, scaled, stretched or compressed by the software. This procedure is especially interesting if already imprinted workpieces should be milled or cut fitting accurately. Alternatively, the recognition of material edges is also possible, if a workpiece should not or cannot be marked with register marks.

Furthermore, vhf introduces a pneumatic version of the oscillating tangential cutting head at the viscom trade fair. It is stronger than the so far offered electric tangential cutting head. Due to this, it can be used forburr-free cutting of thicker materials. Interesting materials for sign makers are, amongst others, textiles, banner foils, paperboards, foams, capillary plates and canvas covers.
