vhf’s single tooth cutters with hawk beak profile which are especially developed for aluminium processing are optionally available with the high performance coating AluSpeed® from now on.
The great hardness of this coating efficiently protects the milling cutters from abrasion. A small affinity to aluminium notably prevents the formation of built-up edges which influence the milling results and can lead to an early tool breakage. The surface of these tools is very smooth, thus the friction at the cutting edge will be reduced and the chips will be better removed. This improves the surface quality of the treated workpieces, too.
Initially, this silver-coloured coating will be available for all tools with a shank diameter of 6 millimetres. The coated tools are suitable for processing aluminium (with a silicium proportion of up to 12 %), copper and other non-ferrous metals. The surcharge for a coated tool is 3.50 euros.
