New triple tooth cutters with a special cutting edge geometry for machining different kinds of foamed materials complete vhf’s scope of tools. They have a free grinding of up to 85 millimetres which makes it possible to process the workpiece with the appropriate dipping depths.
Their cutting edge geometry is especially optimised for machining foamed materials of polyethylene (PE) and polyurethane (PUR). At the same time, emphasis is put on the fact that the vertical edges of the foam won’t be fringed. The cutter is ground in a way at its face so that, when milling pockets, plain surfaces of the ground are achieved. An especially steep spiral flute enables an efficient clearance of the chippings, also if deep slots are milled at high rates of feed.
At first, this new tool is available in four variants. The shank and cutting edge diameters extend from 4 to 10 millimetres. The cutting edge lengths extend from 15 to 50 millimetres at a very long free grinding which extends from 40 to 85 millimetres.
