More Comfortable Setup:
Alignment of Workpieces at Laser Lines

The new line laser module for CNC machining systems by vhf supports a quick and exact alignment of workpieces with the help of laser beams. This will be enabled by two thin red lines which will be projected in a right angle onto the machine table. So a mechanical stopper – which can possibly interfere during the machining process – won’t be necessary any longer.

A decisive advantage of this kind of workpiece alignment lies in the possibility of placing the workpieces at any position of the machine table. The two line lasers are mounted in an angle of 90 degrees at the bridge of the machine and so they change their position when the CAM system is moved. Thanks to a defined x/y offset to the spindle, each requested workpiece origin can be accessed precisely. This solution is especially advantageous for larger CAM systems. Several workpieces can be placed here exactly at different defined positions on the machine table.
